I need help transcribing a scarab amulet recently givin to me.?I was recently givin a quarter size amber amulet with a scarab on the front and 4 symbols on the back. I need help to translate what this text means. From left to right the first symbol looks like a cross with a flame atop. The second symbol looks like an upside down U. The 3rd looks like a P and under is a zig zag that looks like stands for the letter N. I keep getting reference to the Book of the Dead but can not find these symbols. not sure which way you would read these symbols. . . if hanging regular the P symbol is at the top U in the middle. cross with flame and zig zag on side. not sure which way you would read these symbols. . . if hanging regular the P symbol is at the top U in the middle. cross with flame and zig zag on right side. Just ask the person who gave it to you. I'lll keep searching and add any details I find to this answer. If you want to put a picture up you can put it on another site and give the link in additional details. So far I think the upside down U is meant to be a heel bone and it is the number 10. I think the cross with the flame is similar to the Ankh which I think means eternal life.
