My favorite ring broke and I need to know how to fix it myself - cheaply and quickly!?
I have a beautiful moonstone and silver ring that I bought earlier this year. A while ago, the bezel (still containing the stone) fell off of the ring. I took it to a few jewelry stores and the quotes for the repairs were out of my price range. I cannot return or exchange the ring because the store is far away from where I am living and I no longer have the receipt. Can I glue the bezel back onto the ring? I know basic silver soldering, but I don't know how to take the stone out of the bezel without damaging it. I just want a quick fix that will hold well. Again, the ring means a lot to me and I would be heart-broken if I lost the stone. Thanks for any answers!!!
A good quality epoxy will probably do the trick.
